I am a poet living and writing in Denver, CO, and I received my MFA from Bennington College. I’ve studied with Major Jackson, April Bernard, Amy Gerstler, Timothy Liu, Ed Ochester, Matthew Lippman, and others.
I’ve lived in South Dakota, Wyoming, Minnesota, Nebraska, Texas, Iowa and Colorado. Professionally, I have worked in student affairs at several large universities, in IT at universities and community colleges, as a software developer and database designer, as an executive at a large nonprofit assessment company, and currently lead IT at a large community college.
My poems have recently appeared in Big Muddy, Straight Forward, Ground Fresh Thursday, GFT Presents: One in Four, Evening Street Review and other journals.
Overseeing the Downfall is a collection of Midwestern poems about work and family in the digital age, and the anticlimax of middle age. And music. It comes complete with a suggested drink pairings and playlists for the poems.
Thanks for taking the time to read my poems!
